The Mi Notebook 14 looks pretty. It is made with metal body and it haven’t any branding on the back that makes it more premium. The laptop is thin and lightweight and in hand feel is also amazing.

When you open the lid, you have a 14-inch screen with a fair amount of bezels and the ‘MI’ logo in the middle of the bottom of the screen. At the top there is a built in camera and 2 mics. On the left you get 2 USB, 1 HDMI and 1 charging port and on the right you get 1 headphone jack, 1 USB and 1 mic.

At the bottom of the laptop, you get two speaker grills for enjoying media.

Display

The Mi Notebook 14 comes with 14 inch FHD display that resolution is 1920 x 1080 Pixels. The screen has 178 degree viewing angle and screen to body ration is 81.2%. So the screen is perfect for office work, consuming media and it will definitely enhanced your viewing experience. This is a matte screen have an anti-glare coating applied to them, so the screen is much better at preventing reflections and you can comfortably see the visuals in bright room or in sunlight. The 178° wide-viewing angle that offers you to find the best viewing visual according to your seating positions.

 Keyboard and Trackpad

In this laptop you get a full-size chiclet keyboard with scissor mechanism and it has a travel time of 1.3mm which is excellent. It is really comfortable to type with this keyboard and on a personal note I am really liking typing with the keyboard of this laptop.

There is one con of this keyboard that is the keyboard has not backlighting so using it on the night is slightly a tough task but after a few days of use, you will get used to it.

Now coming to the trackpad, The trackpad is amazing for day to day usages and it also supports Window 10 gestures. It also has palm rejection features which means that while typing when your palm accidentally touches the trackpad then it doesn’t considered as a click.

Performance

The MI Notebook is powered by 10th generation Intel i5-10210U quad core processor. The processor clock speed is 1.6GHz and turbo boost takes it up to up to 4.2GHz. So performance based this laptop is absolutely amazing and you can do your work without any lag and hang.

It has 8 GB DDR4 RAM which is not up gradable and 512 GB sata ssd storage. It also has NVIDIA GeForce MX250 dedicated GPU with 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM which confirms that you can enjoy incredible HD photo and video editing, faster and smoother gaming.

I tried some heavy games like GTA5, Asphalt 9 Legends and Garena free-fire in this laptop and Impressively I haven’t face any issue.

Battery

This laptop easily gives you a backup of 8-9 hours when you use it for normal work like web surfing and typing in low brightness and if you play heavy games with 70-100% brightness then it can give backup for 4-5 hours.

It comes with a 65W charger that can charge the laptop to 0-50% in 35 minutes and 0-100% in less than 90 minutes.

Audio Quality

It comes with two 2W stereo speakers combined with DTS audio processing app so you can customize the sound signatures as per your needs. You can also listen the music with the help of headphone jack and via bluetooth connectivity.

The sound quality is good enough and when you listen in the room then it can be give you more better experience. Audio via headphone jack and bluetooth are excellent.
